The 2023 No Devices by A Thousand Gods Wines is a strikingly unique New Zealand wine, crafted from 100% Petit Manseng sourced from the rare Churton Vineyard, which holds a significant portion of the limited Petit Manseng plantings in the country. In a twist from the grape's usual off-dry style, this wine is produced bone-dry. It undergoes an intricate process involving a 48-hour soak, followed by fermentation and 12 months of aging in glass demi-johns, including partial aging "untopped" to allow a subtle oxidation. The result is a wine with rich amber hues and intense, layered flavors: think caramel, mandarin peel, walnut, and faint rancio notes.
The minimal intervention approach—unfined, unfiltered, and free from added sulfites—preserves its natural essence. It’s fresh and zesty enough to enjoy solo or with foods like jamón, olives, or marinated almonds for a memorable tasting experience. Only 14 cases were produced, making it a rare find from one of New Zealand's most innovative new winerie
Grapes from biodynamic farming, natural yeast and low added sulfites.
