The Braun family has been rooted in Alsace since 1593, passing the craft of winegrowing from one generation to the next, based in the village of Orschwihr. The modern story begins in 1960, when Camille Braun shifted the family farm fully toward viticulture, expanding the vineyards with his wife, Marguerite. Their son Christophe joined in 1987 and, together with his wife Chantal, now farms 15 hectares organically and biodynamically — a philosophy they adopted in 2005.
60 year old vines from the Neuberg parcel in Bollensberg — a steep and sunny hill with limestone rich soils, notable for it's quality Pinot Noir production.
A complex, ample wine with aromas of small red fruits. The palate shows dense, generous texture with a light touch of oak.
