The estate's main cuvée offers a wide range of red fruits: wild strawberry and blackcurrant combined with spicy notes. Elegance and delicacy dominate. A straightforward attack of fruit, a fairly tannic mid-palate, and a very refined finish.
About the Chateau:
The Hubert family has been based at Château Peybonhomme-Les-Tours since 1895 in the commune of Cars, very close to Blaye. Six generations have lived there.
The estate is located on a hill overlooking the estuary, with vineyards occupying its slopes. From its 17th-century crenellated tower, we have a breathtaking 360° view of the entire estate and the Gironde estuary.
This Gironde, to which we are so attached, brings to the estate something unique in Bordeaux: an oceanic climate and, acting like a mirror, a beautiful light on our Merlots, Cabernet-Francs as well as our old Malbecs. A moment forgotten after the war, the (very promising) cultivation of white grape varieties has been back for about ten years with Semillons, Sauvignons and a little bit of Colombards. The latter on our clay-limestone terroirs present a beautiful minerality.
