From this downtown Bordeaux Urban winery, Frequence 2019 is a big guy and an 'Homage' to the Cabernet grape.

The 2019 vintage is a blend of 50% Cabernet Franc, 20% Cabernet Sauvignon, 20% Syrah and 10% Grenache. Who would have thought to blend this together? well glad they did.

The Chinon originated Cab Franc from 45 hears old plants brings freshness and straightness to the wine. The cab Sav from the Cotes de Bourg in Bordeaux adds roundness and structure. The Syrah and Grenache brings spices and ripe fruit notes.

After a slow fermentation and a 9 month ageing in barrel, balance has been found and the concentration is fantastic. Definitely a food wine here, roast and heavy cheeses can handle it.
