The story goes that Alexander the Great himself, together with his army, carried Greek vines of the Aglianico variety while he spread the ‚ÄúMagna Grecia‚ÄĚ through the territories he conquered. Alexander‚Äôs legacy constantly inspires us to go for everything that is new and different. After¬†they¬†imported the vines from Europe,¬†the family¬†had to wait several years to obtain their first wines. The Aglianico grape variety represents¬†their Greek soul. It has a marked acidity making it unmistakable and is perhaps one of the most unique grape varieties that Mendoza has experienced.¬†

About the Domain:

Right in the middle of the hills of Luj√°n de Cuyo, in the province of Mendoza, out of sight from the world, there is a winery where, Constantino and Silvina Krontiras, nested their love for wine. The sacred geometry of the location gently embraces the fruit of its biodynamic vineyards from which our wines are born, as a pure expression of terroir.

Early in the morning, a gentle breeze descends from the Andes following the Mendoza River and embraces the 120-year-old Malbec and Tempranillo vines along with our fruit trees. The vineyard is also home to our small farm with cows, sheep, horses, donkeys and llamas.

Young and vigorous, the second part of the vinyards (Villa Seca vineyard) boasts a microclimate with cool nights and very hot days that favour the organic and biodynamic cultivation of Malbec, Petit Verdot, Agliánico and Chardonnay.

The winery is naturally integrated with¬†Lunlunta vineyard. The building architecture is inspired by biodynamic principles based on ancient ‚Äúsacred geometry‚ÄĚ.
They¬†apply the golden ratio ŌÜ (1.618) and ŌÄ (3.14) to create an excellent environment for winemaking and aging. Natural insulating materials such as straw, have been used to save energy, making sure that the use of natural resources is truly rational.
