Krontiras Natural Malbec is their first step towards the production of natural wines. The family have been making Malbec wines without added sulfur since 2015. Two years later they achieved the desired result, the new Krontiras Malbec Natural. The grapes were carefully selected from their vineyard in Maipú, and fermented in stainless steel tanks without the addition of sulphites at any stage of the vinification.
The goal is always to respect the natural expression of our vineyardThis wild Malbec will transport you directly to the place we call “home”.

About the Domain:

Right in the middle of the hills of Luján de Cuyo, in the province of Mendoza, out of sight from the world, there is a winery where, Constantino and Silvina Krontiras, nested their love for wine. The sacred geometry of the location gently embraces the fruit of its biodynamic vineyards from which our wines are born, as a pure expression of terroir.

Early in the morning, a gentle breeze descends from the Andes following the Mendoza River and embraces the 120-year-old Malbec and Tempranillo vines along with our fruit trees. The vineyard is also home to our small farm with cows, sheep, horses, donkeys and llamas.

Young and vigorous, the second part of the vinyards (Villa Seca vineyard) boasts a microclimate with cool nights and very hot days that favour the organic and biodynamic cultivation of Malbec, Petit Verdot, Agliánico and Chardonnay.

The winery is naturally integrated with Lunlunta vineyard. The building architecture is inspired by biodynamic principles based on ancient “sacred geometry”.
They apply the golden ratio φ (1.618) and π (3.14) to create an excellent environment for winemaking and aging. Natural insulating materials such as straw, have been used to save energy, making sure that the use of natural resources is truly rational.
